Today has been a good day! Adair is doing so well. He still has pain in his mouth but he says that it is getting better everyday! He actually asked the nurse to bring him a regular dinner tray tonight. He is so hungry!!! His platelet count is still pretty low. He has to be really careful not to fall or bump anything because he is so susceptible to bleeding. Physical therapy came in and he was able to walk on the treadmill for about 10 minutes. May not sound like much but we were all impressed. :)
I spoke to the doctor today and he said that if Adair's white count is up by Saturday or Sunday, he may be discharged sometime next week! (no promises...) That would be so wonderful! We still can't go home, we have to stay in the apartment here close to the hospital, but Adair is definitely ready for a change of scenery! It will be nice for him to breath fresh air again!
