Home For The Weekend!

Hey everyone! Well, Adair is doing so good that the doctor gave him the OK to come home for the weekend! He is so happy to be back on his couch! We spent yesterday holed up in the apartment so I got a little taste of what Adair endured in isolation! I felt like I was going crazy!! :)

The doctors are so impressed with Adair. His blood counts continue to rise. His immune system is still immature so he has to be careful, especially since it's cold and flu season, but he feels great, is in a great mood, and eating to his hearts desire! I am so relieved to be on this side of the transplant. I never imagined he would breeze through it like he has, it's amazing!!

We have to be back at Stanford Monday morning. They will check his blood counts again and if his platelets are at or above 50,000 they will remove the catheter from his chest and release him home for good, if not we will have to stay at the apartment a few more days until that happens. (He was at 36,000 today) We're pretty confident we will be back home Monday!

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, I'll update soon...
