Day One At Stanford

Adair checked in to Stanford yesterday! It's a bittersweet time! We are both excited that this transplant is finally happening but he's definitely not looking forward to the sickness and fatigue that comes with it! He's young and otherwise healthy so hopefully the chemo won't affect him as bad as it does others!

Originally I had planned to be at Adair's side through the entire process but unfortunately I'm not going to be able to do that. I had to leave him and come home last night and probably won't be able to return until this weekend! That's really hard for me, I didn't want him to have to do this alone! But in life, things happen and we don't always get what we want, right!? He's a very strong man so I know that he will do great regardless. We've already chatted on the phone a few times today and he sounds really good!

The chemo will be started this afternoon. He will have 5 days of chemo, a day of rest, and finally next Monday they will give him his stem cells back.

Please keep Adair in your thoughts and prayers :)
